Canton Rescue Looks to Purchase RB Lawrence Ambulance Service

Canton Rescue Squad Inc. is waiting to begin its own ambulance transport business.

It is with heavy hearts that the members and officers of Canton Fire & Rescue announce the passing of 52-year member, Bill “Pappy” McCluskey.

Mutual Aid to West Potsdam Structure Fire

At 0944 the tones dropped to respond to a working structure fire mutual aid to West Potsdam at 71 Blanchard Road . Tanker 20 was enroute immediately, followed by Engine 7 and Rescue 1 shortly thereafter. At 1313 hours Canton Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a one vehicle rollover at 2644 SH 68, in the vicinity of the SUNY Canton entrance. Head On MVA Snarls Traffic on US 11

Canton Fire & Rescue responded to a two vehicle MVA on USH 11 this morning at 8:40. Injuries were minor to the three people involved. Canton Fire and Rescue was dispatched auto aid with Pyrites Fire at 1137 for a reported structure fire at 3098 CR 21. Engine 7 responded at 1143 and arrive on scene at 1148 to find a working fire in a two stall detached garage. Canton Fire and Rescue personnel were in service for less than 10 minutes when they were dispatched at 1635 to a reported car vs. house MVA at 650 Judson street road.
