Canton Accepts Delivery of New Engine JANUARY 23 - After many delays, Canton Fire finally accepted delivery of a new Seagrave pumper on January 11, 2012. The new engine will replace a 1986 Sanford that has served the department well. Committee members Mike Morgan, Shawn McGregor, Dave Corbett, Rob Larrabee, Rusty Lawrence, and Bill Bennett began work over a year ago and quickly settled on Seagrave as the builder. CFD Takes Delivery Of New Rescue 1 DECEMBER 13 - After many months of waiting, the new Rescue 1 has arrived. The truck, built by PL Custom/Rescue 1 of Manasquan, New Jersey and sold by Specialty Vehicles, Inc. of Plainview, New York. The truck is a built on a 2011 Spartan Metro Star Chassis and was a demonstrator unit prior to our purchasing it. Quick Knockdown On Goodrich Street House Fire NOVEMBER 08 - At 1202, Central Dispatch dropped the tones for a possible house fire at 5 Goodrich Street. Neighbors heard the smoke detectors sounding and noticed smoke coming from an attic vent at the front of the house.
