At 1122 hours Canton Fire was requested to respond with Tower 1 to a working fire at 2901 CR 17 in the Hamlet of DeKalb Junction. The building, a former roller rink, currently contained storage along with several apartments. Tower 1 and Engine 8 were enroute at 1124 hours and arrived on scene 16 minutes later. The Tower was placed in operation to ventilate the roof of the structure while additional CFD personnel assisted with interior operations. The fire, under the command of DeKalb Junction FD Chief Bob Drake, was under extinguished in under 2 hours. All Canton units were back in service at 1409 hours.
