Mutual Aid To Colton For House Fire

At 1325 hours on April 24th Canton Fire was dispatched to respond manpower mutual aid to 23 Riverside Drive in Colton for a working house fire. In addition a pumper was requested by Pierrepont Fire to stand by at their station. Rescue 1 was enroute at 1330 with a crew to Colton and Engine 8 responded to Pierrepont Station. Upon arrival at the fire scene at 1347, crews were assigned the RIT function and stood by at the front of the building in the event they were needed. Other members of the crew assisted with suppression efforts. There were no injuries reported and all Canton units were back in service at 1540 hours. A total of 14 members responded with 11 responding to Colton and 3 standing by at Pierrepont.
