The first significant snowfall to hit the area led to several motor vehicle accidents, including a near head on collision on USH 11 near Frazier Computing. Canton Fire and Rescue was dispatched at 1539 with Ambulance 131 and Rescue 1 responding at 1540. Both units arrived at 1546 to find two cars that had struck nearly head on with one still on the roadway and one in the ditch. The occupants of the cars had exited the vehicles and were evaluated by EMS personnel and refused transport to the hospital. Firefighters worked in conjunction with Canton PD and Sheriff's Department personnel to control traffic in the area. Eventually southbound traffic was detoured of USH 11 to reduce the congestion. The vehicles were removed and the road reopened. All units were back in service at 1628.
