Canton Fire & Rescue responded to a two vehicle MVA on USH 11 this morning at 8:40. Injuries were minor to the three people involved. Damage to the vehicles was extensive and presented a complicated removal by the tow company. Traffic was backed up several miles north of the village at one point. Members provided traffic control to divert traffic off USH 11 travelling northbound while braving the bitter cold subzero temperatures. One driver chose to ignore FD personnel controlling traffic, drove into the closed section of the road, and was subsequently issued multiple tickets. All units were back in service at 10:15.
