At 1458 hours, Canton Fire was dispatched on a mutual aid response to West Potsdam Fire for a house fire at the intersection of County Route 14 and the Buck Road. Canton Fire was dispatched at 0909 to a motor vehicle accident in front of 1494 State Highway 310. West Potsdam Fire requested Rescue 1 and manpower for extrication. Arriving on scene at 0929, the crew worked with West Potsdam Fire personnel in frigid temperatures to free the accident victim using both hand tools and hydraulic extrication tools from both departments.
