|Car Fire on Lincoln Road|

At 16:26, Canton Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a car fire on the Lincoln Road within the Town of Canton. Deputy Chief McGregor (4-2) was en route immediately. Engine 7, chauffeured by Assistant Chief Cary (4-4), was out of service at 16:31 with a crew of three. Canton A-132 was returning from a previous call and responded to the scene. On Chief McGregor’s arrival, he advised Engine 7 that they would be stretching a line as the vehicle was fully engulfed.
Firefighters Cote and Berrios provided the initial attack and extinguishment with Firefighters Burdick and Holcomb providing backup and support.
Bill’s Auto responded to the scene at the request of the vehicle owner to remove the car from the roadway. Canton Fire and Rescue had 10 members respond and all Canton units returned to service at 18:15.
